QR Code Utilization to Improve Patient survey response to evaluate Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellow

The purpose of this project is to determine the proportion of patients’ parent/caregiver completing electronic survey about Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellows’ performance and to provide feedback to Fellows to improve performance. We will also compare this proportion with existing data from paper surveys. In this study, a person other than the fellow (med-student, nurse or other) will randomly select parent/caregiver of a patient that was seen by a fellow during their shift and ask them to complete a survey (Attached). Parent/caregiver will be given a QR code that is linked to the survey for that fellow and will be asked to compete the survey. We hypothesize that electronic surveys will yield a better response rate and a more constructive feedback than traditional paper surveys that are currently used.
