Qualitative vs Quantitative Research Methodology
Qualitative research aims at exploring the phenomena relating to or involving quality or kind like underlying motives and desires in motivational research. In other words, qualitative research is based on words, feelings, emotions, sounds and other non-numerical and uncountable elements. Quantitative research aims at analysis and measuring the amount in the data analyzed with emphasis placed on the collection of numerical data to give a numerical conclusion.
There are six types of qualitative research:
1- Phenomenological research
2- Ethnographic research
3-Grounded theory research
4- Case study research
5-Historical research
6- Narrative research
There are four types of quantitative research:
1- Survey research
2- Correlational research
3- Causal-comparative research
4- Experimental research
